2018 Community Initiative by Bramley Nursery School

Mission: To assist a school in the Western Cape affected by the Water Crisis

The Bramley Nursery School is running a project to collect water from our parents and the surrounding local community with the aim being to donate all water collected to a delegated school in the Western Cape Province who is currently suffering from severe water shortage and who are on very strict water restrictions.

As a Nursery School we are highly aware of the amount of water that is required on a daily basis in order to effectively feed, hydrate and maintain an adequate level of hygiene for the children. There are schools that have absolutely no water during the day as the water is being switched off between 6AM and 6PM; and with the dry heat one can only imagine the effects.

Using the Bramley Nursery School as a collection point, we intend collecting a substantial amount (meaning as much as we can possibly get) by means of donations. The initial collection dates are listed below. Once we reach the end of the collection timeframe, we will facilitate the transportation of the collected water and monitor the hand-over of the water to ensure that the water reaches the intended destination(s).

Should you have any queries related to our water drive, or suggestions on how else you are able to assist, please make use of the contact form on this page to get hold of us; or contact Teacher Dominique at the school.
